How To Avoid Buying A Fake Magic Wand Massager

Get to know the 'real' Magic Wand.

Magic Wand® is trade marked by Hitachi / Maxell in many countries including Australia, and refers to their range of Magic Wand personal massagers. Magic Wands are undoubtedly the worlds best selling and most recognized personal massagers. Because of their popularity, they're also the most copied. As quoted by the USA distributor Vibratex, Inc, "imitation is the greatest compliment".

With so many look-a-like and counterfeit Magic Wands on the market, for someone wanting to buy a genuine Magic Wand can be a challenge. We're here to help!

Unfortunately there is a minefield of unscrupulous online retailers selling counterfeit Magic Wands.

If you're in the market for a genuine Magic Wand (we're the longest running specialist Australian retailer of the genuine range of Magic Wand massagers), you've come to the right place!

For whatever reason you don't want to purchase through us, you'll need your wits about you.

We'll show you how to filter out fake Magic Wands on the market...

Below are some prime examples of various Australian online sellers passing off cheaply made counterfeit wand massagers as genuine Magic Wands.

Steer clear from buying off marketplace websites such as eBay, Amazon, DHGate and AliExpress. Most, if not all Magic Wand massagers advertised on these sites are fake. They're sold by unscrupulous sellers with a lawless attitude who blatantly advertise their knock-off products as genuine. Unfortunately eBay and Amazon don't police this too well.

Detecting a fake Magic Wand can be difficult. Sellers of counterfeit products frequently use pictures and descriptions of the genuine item.

Usually their low price is a giveaway. Vibratex enforce a MAP (minimum advertised price) with retailers for their massagers. They also restrict the sale of the Magic Wand Original 110 volt corded massager to the USA and Canada.

If you see an advertised price that seems to good to be true compared to the price of a reputable store, then the product is most likely a fake. If a Magic Wand Original corded massager is being sold in Australia, then it may also be a fake.

Example one: fake Magic Wand Rechargeable / Kogan / Dick Smith.

Example 1: Screenshot of a fake Magic Wand Rechargeable being sold by Kogan and Dick Smith.

Determined: Fake.

1. The selling price is extremely low, much lower than the wholesale price of a genuine product. 2. The item ships from China. 3. Although Kogan and Dick Smith are not stocking and selling this item themselves, they're allowing 3rd party sellers to sell knock-off products through their website.

Example two: fake Magic Wand Rechargeable / eBay.

Determined: Fake.

1. The logo printed on the massager pictured is a different font than a genuine massager. 2. The selling price is much lower than the wholesale price of a genuine product. 3. They note in their ad that the massager is not a branded item.

Fake Magic Wand massagers are cheaply made products with very low quality control during manufacture. They lack power, and also feature the incorrect vibrating hertz (Hz) which is required for a deep, soothing massage.

We find it disheartening that many unsuspecting Australian consumers have purchased what they've been led to believe by the way of false advertising is a genuine Magic Wand massager. What they actually receive is a cheaply made copy.

1. The selling price is much lower than the wholesale price of a genuine product. 2. At time of publishing, the ad quotes the charger has an AU plug, when the genuine item is only made with a USA plug charger. 3. One of the pictures in the ad shows an un-branded no name massager (probably what you'd receive in the mail). 4. This seller is very enthusiastic promoting the product as 100% Authentic, when it's actually 100% Non-Authentic!
